Endless mode after the 10-win run
Patch 1.2.0 / Balance 24. Facts below are tied to a source checked on 2026-10-01. Anything still open is marked unconfirmed.
Direct answer
Endless Mode and Extended Mode are two names for one feature. After your first 10-win run you enable it in Settings. On a later 10-win summary you can continue that same team. How to flip the setting, and whether ranked play punishes you, is on the extended mode page.
What the long board actually changes
Normal runs do not draw extended boards. An extended run may draw either kind. It contributes boards without the normal Mythical and hard-counter exclusions, and it does not soften the opponent before battle. That is the part people mean by “endless”: the shop keeps going, and the opponent boards stop being filtered the way a normal run filters them.
The event list includes an entry named Endless Boss Prep. I do not have its option text, so I am not describing a boss script. Sudden Death (the sandstorm speed-up) is a separate 1.0 combat rule, not the name of this mode.
What it does not count
Extra days do not add a second MMR result, do not count as another completed game, and do not count as another run win. If the original run was ranked, its 10-win result is scored first. Ranked rewards stay on the ranks page.

Questions on this page
When does the continuation stop?
After day 40, or when lives run out. It does not create a second rank result.
